The mobile food scene is sweeping the country’s culinary culture, with food truck fests popping up on the repeat through Chester County, the Main Line and beyond. The next kitchen-on-wheels pop-up will occur on Bridge Street, as the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce preps to debut their first-ever downtown food festival on Saturday, Oct. 5.
As of noon, more than 10 food trucks will line up throughout Phoenixville’s downtown, facing their mobile kitchens toward the sidewalks, to allow for easy noshing access. Popular trucks revving into town will include Ka’Chi, PJ Whelihans, Mama’s Meatballs, Little Baby’s Ice Cream, Local 215, Little Jimmies Cupcakes, Hillbilly BBQ, Mom Pops, Bonjour Creperie and Lulu’s Café on the Go. Additional downtown streets, including Main Street between Church and Bridge streets, will be closed to provide arts and craft vending space, and there will be seating and music in the Main and Bridge Parking Lot.
The first annual Phoenixville Food Festival will kick-off another downtown first—Phoenixville Restaurant Week. From Sun., Oct. 6–Thurs., Oct. 10, 15 local restaurants will feature $10, $25 and $35 prix-fixe menus. Participating restaurants include: Black Lab Bistro, Majolica, Dominic’s, Sips Bistro & Bar, Bistro on Bridge, Thai L’Elephant, Vecchia Pizzeria, and more.
