Philly's Supper Hosts Fried Chicken Tuesdays

PLUS: Verdad turns three in August, celebrating with deals that are thrice as nice.

Who doesn’t love fried chicken? There are lots of restaurants in the city that serve some pretty awesome fried chicken, but we think the Fried Chicken Tuesdays at Supper sound like a great excuse to start tasting.

Chef Mitch Prensky’s pastrami fried chicken was recently named one of Food & Wine Magazine’s best fried chickens in the country and for only $25, guests get half a bird, a choice of a fresh, seasonal side dish prepared with ingredients from Blue Elephant Farm in Newtown Square, and flour biscuits. Visit supperphilly.com for more information.

On Aug. 6, help Chef Nicholas Farina of Bryn Mawr’s Verdad celebrate the restaurant’s third anniversary with $3 margaritas and $3 pork carnitas, and mahimahi and Kobe steak tacos. Throughout the rest of the month, Farina is offering a “flight” of three types of guacamole paired with a tequila cocktail. We think the strawberry-habanero guac with the strawberry fuego coktail combo sounds particularly tasty. Call (610) 520-9100 for reservations.
