Philly Dining News: Brûlée Catering Opens, Balcony Offers a Theater Menu

Whether you’re planning an event in the city or want to catch dinner before a show, here are two additions to the Philadelphia food scene you should know about.

Chef Jean-Marie Lacroix needs no introduction, but he does deserve some recognition for his recently launched Brûlée Catering, serving the Delaware Valley and the Jersey Shore. Lacroix has merged with Max & Me Catering and Culinary Concepts to form this company, which is the exclusive food provider for the Please Touch Museum, the Independence Visitor Center, the National Constitution Center and others. They also cater weddings, fundraisers, society galas and corporate gatherings. Visit brulee-catering.com.

Is going to the theater one of your favorite things to do, but you often feel rushed to get dinner? Then you’ll be happy to know the Balcony restaurant at the DoubleTree by Hilton is making it easy to grab a bite to eat before the show. Its three-course, prix-fixe theater menu offers a $25 or $35 option, with seatings at 5 and 7 p.m. You’ll love dining while looking over the Avenue of the Arts. After dinner, just cross the street, and you’re at the Academy of Music. Visit doubletree.hilton.com.
