Many beer lovers look forward to Philly Beer Week for months, maybe even all year, and for good reason. From June 1-10, beer events take over the city and even the suburbs, introducing imbibers to demonstrations, tastings, dinners and countless other beer-related events. Here are a few events worth checking out:
Pinocchio’s Beer Garden in Media has been enjoying ten days of beer events and tonight you can stop by to meet the owner of Seattle’s Elysian Brewing Company and taste several of his brews for just $3. Check out pinbeer.com for a complete list of beer week events at the Beer Garden.
On Wednesday night at Teresa’s Café in Wayne, “Bobo,” Chimay’s beer ambassador, will be back for the fifth year in a row to present three types of beer and a Belgian beer-paired menu.
Also that night is a Flying Fish Beer and snack tasting at the Whole Foods in Plymouth Meeting. And if you happen to be doing your food shopping for the week on Sunday, you may want to head to the Devon Whole Foods Market from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. to grab some kegs and eggs in the process. A made-to-order omelette station will be set up outside The Mile Post Pub and drafts will be on tap.
