Pennsylvania Winery Association Launches Ultimate Local Wine Mobile Site

PA Winery Association is on a mission to educate your drinking palates with the award-winning wines produced in your own imbibing ground. First step? A mobile website that makes wine-infused travels remarkably easy.

Pennsylvania is proving itself to be a viable grape growing climate, recently ranking as the fifth largest wine producer in the states with nearly 200 wineries calling the Keystone State their home.

But, for those of us uneducated with the statewide supply of local wine, Pennsylvania Winery Association is here to help! As of Oct. 17, the association launched their first mobile site ever, m.PennsylvaniaWine.com, specifically designed for travelers in pursuit of PA wine.

The new mobile-friendly website features tools that allow users to plot their vino excursions through the state—right at your fingertips. The site works off GPS positioning that is able to recommend nearby wineries wherever you are, as well as provide all the if-you-visit details (hours, contact info, special events). With 12 unique wine trails sprawling  across six distinct regions of the state, you’re guaranteed to be always less than 45 minutes from a winery.

A fellow Town Dish team member and I even hit two of the local trails (Brandywine Valley Wine Trail and Lehigh Valley Wine Trail) recently in efforts to test out the new wine-infused travel site and of course, educate our imbibing palates with close-to-home vino. Drink up our recent experiences here and here.
