On Aug. 23, Penns Woods Winery is hosting a members-only Harvest Dinner. Taking place in the vineyard from 6:30-9 p.m., the event, which is now in its third year, will feature a five-course wine pairing banquet featuring gourmet cuisine prepared by John Serock Catering.
Expect vintage rustic vibes at the dinner, which will take place at a community table in the vineyard, complete with burnt orange linens, burlap runners, white napkins and flowers with plenty of greenery. The 80-seat affair will also have a vineyard collection of mismatched antique wooden chairs to add to the charm.
Look for a new Chardonnay Reserve 2018 and Merlot Reserve 2015 to be poured at the event. Library and pre-release wines will also be available. Winemaker Davide Creato will be in attendance to talk about the wine pairings and offer other insights.
Tickets are $130 per person or $250 for couples and require a seven-day advanced booking.
