The revolving door of restaurants at 4161 Main Street in Manayunk (formerly Beast & Ale, Bisou, Gemelli and MangoMoon) has a brand-new tenant—Anastasi Raw Bar—hoping to make a lasting impact on the area dining scene.
The team behind this new addition to Main Street is siblings Mia and Tommy Anastasi from the Anastasi Seafood family, joined by their Bala Cynwyd Pescatore restaurant general manager, Frank Kemp.
Chef Ken Wallace’s modest, but focused menu includes small plates, like grilled oysters and house-cured mackerel and larger plates like a lobster roll sandwich, tuna and branzino fillet. For non-seafood lovers, roasted chicken and pork belly entrees are available. Raw bar selections can be ordered individually, as well.
The restaurant will feature two happy hours daily, Monday through Friday, from 4–6 p.m., and from 10 p.m.–12 a.m., featuring buck-a-shuck oysters and clams, $5 draft wine, plus daily draft and cocktail specials.
Anastasi’s has five beers, four wines and a cider on draft. Additionally, there are several featured cocktails and, of course, wines by the glass and bottle.
