On July 11, Kim and Will Wright’s Nothing Bundt Cakes opened in Wynnewood. A captivatingly modern take on the circular European-style dessert, the bakery offers carry out options, plus a gift shop. Daintily painted in cheery canary yellow, sky blue and cocoa brown colors, the shop offers a delectable assortment of Bundt cakes in varying sizes and flavors.
Nothing Bundt Cakes began in Las Vegas, Nev. in 1997 and has spread throughout the country. This marks its first foray into the Main Line area.
Before stepping into the Lancaster Avenue outpost, banish any preconceived notions of bland 1960’s-era. There, the Wrights scrumptiously reinventing the dessert by creating nine fun and festive varieties, which come in several sizes: Bundtini, a bite sized cake available by the dozen; Bundtlet, which is a mini Bundt cake that can easily feed two; plus 8- and 10-inch cakes, along with tiered ones that can serve 26 people.

Flavors include chocolate-chocolate chip, red velvet, lemon, white chocolate raspberry, pecan praline, and classic vanilla. Gluten-free options are also available. Cakes are baked fresh daily and even the icing is made in-house. With its positivity-inducing color scheme, a cheerful staff that doles out free samples, and a bevy of frosted cakes looking as delectable as they taste, the Wrights are ensuring Main Liners can have their cake and eat it, too.
