The Jewish New Year is this week! Will you be celebrating Rosh Hashanah with your friends and family? Knowing that the stress of a large gathering can dampen the excitement of the holiday, Six Points Kosher Events (Citron + Rose, now C&R Kitchen) has crafted a no-holds-barred menu of Rosh Hashanah classics with an upscale twist.
Treat your family and yourself to traditional dishes of slow-braised brisket, chopped liver mousse and freshly baked challah, or liven things up a bit with something new and different, like Asian-braised short rib and roasted salmon with walnut pistou. Round out your meal with pear and noodle kugel, grilled jumbo asparagus with lemon vinaigrette, roasted garlic smashed potatoes and other crowd-pleasing sides.
Two special Rosh Hashanah menus are being offered: a set menu ($200) to feed 8–10 people and an a la carte menu, with items priced by the pound/pint, half pan and bowl. Divine desserts, including passion fruit meringue, French-style apple cranberry strudel, fresh fruit tart and an array of cakes, are also available.
Meals can be picked up at the commissary and C&R Kitchen, located at 370 Montgomery Avenue in Merion, on Wednesday, September 24, from 3–5 p.m. For more information and to order, call (610) 257-3050 or email info@sixpointskosher.com.
