The Main Line restaurant scene always has something happening—and I don’t want you to be out of the loop!
The first bit of news is a new chef at Media’s Lotus Farm to Table, the small BYOB that focuses on local, healthy fare with an impressive tea list to boot. Taking the reigns is Michael Giletto, who has appeared on a number of Food Network shows like Chopped and Iron Chef America. I can’t wait to taste what he’s got cooking over there!
I’ve also learned that the up-and-coming Chip Roman/Jason Cichonski restaurant in Chestnut Hill will now be called Mica, not Stone House.
Ardmore’s A la Maison will also have some changes. I hear that chef/owner Darlene Moseng has gone to Seattle to develop a restaurant and catering business. Come spring, Mike Stollenwerk—of the popular Philly restaurants Fish, Little Fish and the new Fathom Seafood House—will serve as restaurant consultant.
The General Lafayette Inn in Lafayette Hill is on the market and looking for a restaurant or brewpub to fill its circa-1732 shoes. The price tag: $1.8 million. Any takers?
