Lace up your hiking boots and work up an appetite in anticipation of a beautiful fall day accompanied by craft brews, savory sides and sweet treats at the largest privately owned Chester County nature preserve open to the public: Natural Lands’ ChesLen Preserve. On Nov. 18, from 3-5 p.m., guests can explore the picturesque scenery of ChesLen and take leisurely breaks at designated tasting stops along the 2-mile Harvest Tasting Trek.
The appetizing adventure will feature a variety of autumnal dishes served at five trailside stations provided by Brandywine Catering, J. Scott Catering, John Serock Catering, Northbrook MarketPlace, Talula’s Table and Victory Brewing Company.
Savory dishes include:
- Fall couscous with roasted butternut squash, brussels sprouts and dried cranberries
- Beet salad with candied pecans, goat cheese and pecan vinaigrette
- Butternut squash soup
- Pumpkin bisque
Sweet treats:
- Apple cider donuts
- Gingersnaps
- Maple pecan pie
Beverages:
- Seasonal craft brews
- Full-bodied white and medium red wines
- Lots of ciders
Tickets are $35 for Natural Lands members and $45 for non-members.
