Beer lovers, rejoice! The countdown is on for Conshohocken Beer Week, which will flood local bars and restaurants sprinkled along the ‘Curve from October 13–17. Whether you’re looking for an exclusive—and seasonal—beer tasting, an original beer pairing, or one not-to-miss beer festival, your options to slug your favorite beers are endless. Drink up the full agenda below.
Monday, October 13 — Visit Kim Strengari and Marianne Gere’s Conshy mainstay, Gypsy Saloon, for a tap takeover featuring pumpkin and seasonal releases. From Terrapin’s Pumpkin Pie Porter to Southern Tier’s Pumking ’13, Weyerbacher’s Imperial Pumpkin, Dogfish’s Punkin’, Conshohocken Brewery’s Chocolate Crush Imperial Porter (a Main Line Today favorite!), Goose Island’s Muddy, Lagunitas’ Imperial Red and Green Flash’s Citra Session, beer lovers will be in for a treat with this hand-picked lineup. Tap takeover will run through Oct. 17 while supplies last.
Tuesday, October 14 — You scream, we all scream for beer and ice cream!? Southern Cross Kitchen will debut an official Victory Brewing Company ice cream and beer pairing. Three enticing ice cream flavors (Triple Monkey Ice Cream, Storm King Crunch Ice Cream and Hopped Up Devil Ice Cream) will be on tap to spoon into, as well as the award-winning Victory beers (Hop Devil, Golden Monkey and Storm King).
Wednesday, October 15 — Three attractive beer events are slated to unfold mid-beer week, including Fingers Wings and Other Things’ Victory Happy Hour/Pint Night at 6 p.m., Southern Cross Kitchen’s Goose Island beer dinner at 6 p.m., and Conshy Corner Tavern’s Crooked Eye Tap Takeover. Perhaps you’re ambitious and want to make this weekday feature a pub crawl?
Thursday, October 16 — Hometown hero Conshohocken Brewing Co. will visit neighborhood friends Southern Cross for a tap takeover, with the locally brewed beers pouring all day. Victory Brewing Co. continues to be in the Conshohocken Beer Week spotlight on day four, hitting Baggataway Tavern for an official tap takeover.
Friday, October 17 — Day five of beer week will introduce beer jerky beer pairings at Flanigan’s Boat House, while Conshohocken Organized Brewers of Righteous Ales (COBRA) will host a one-time-only tasting at American Royalty Cigars.
Want to seal the deal on your beer-infused week? The grand finale, the Conshohocken Beer Festival, will unfold Saturday, October 18, 1–5 p.m., presented by GMH Mortgage Services in benefit of Conshohocken Plymouth Whitemarsh Rotary. With more than 40 breweries on-hand for tastings, plus live music, great food and fun games. Event takes place at A. A. Garthwaite Stadium; tickets available at $40.
