Milito’s, known for its fire-roasted pizzas, BYOB nights, authentic Italian pastas and outdoor patio, closed its doors on Jan. 24. The restaurant had taken over the spacious Barra Rosa in 2016 along the east branch of the Brandywine River in the heart of Downingtown.
Unfortunately, the Milito family had to say goodbye, leaving behind this message on the restaurant’s Facebook page (since taken down):
“This amazing journey wouldn’t have been possible without you, our loyal patrons. However, after sincere thought and consideration, we’ve decided to close the doors to Milito’s indefinitely, effective immediately. We genuinely appreciate all of the love and support we have received over the last few years. Thank you for the memories.”
There has been no indication yet of how Milito’s will honor restaurant gift cards or future private events that were already scheduled.
