Diners love Chip Roman’s Tuesday tasting menu at Blackfish in Conshohocken. So he has taken this popular concept to his new Chestnut Hill restaurant, Mica. Every Wednesday, Roman offers a four-course tasting menu, centering around one ingredient. At $45 (tax and tip not included), this option is a great deal, especially since the restaurant only offers a more expensive prix-fixe menu—which is excellent, by the way, and allows diners to choose the number of courses. If you want to make plans ahead of time, the restaurant will feature lamb as the main ingredient on May 11, scallops on May 18, and soft-shell crab on May 25. The regular menu is still available, too, if you prefer that. 8609 Germantown Ave., Chestnut Hill; (267) 335-3912, micarestaurant.com.
