Summer is winding down, and a new crop of seasonal ingredients is beginning to appear in shopping baskets and on menus all over the area. Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant in Media is taking advantage of early-September’s bounty by holding an autumn farm-to-table brewmaster’s dinner on Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.
Featuring five courses made with ingredients from local farms, the meal was carefully put together by Chef Dave Anderson, after many trips to local farms to see (and taste) what’s at its peak. The menu includes local cheeses and charcuterie, with accompaniments; a three-bean, three-tomato salad; fresh-caught fish; roasted beer-brined veal shoulder; and a sweet Eggplant Napoleon. Each course will be paired with one of Iron Hill’s award-winning brews.
Space is limited to 40 guests ($75 per person), but there’s still time to reserve a spot. Call (610) 627-9000.
