La Cabra Brewing to Open Bodega in Bryn Mawr

The new gastropub concept will take over the former BIGA Pizza and Beer.

Great news for devoted fans of La Cabra Brewing—the 2 year-old Berwyn brew destination announced it will be expanding into Bryn Mawr. Called Bodega, the new gastropub will take over the recently vacated BIGA Pizza & Beer spot at 810 Glenbrook Avenue once renovations are completed.

La Cabra partner and brewer Dan Popernack announced via Instagram and Facebook that Bodega “will not only allow for expansion, but will let us play with a new food concept with a live-fire kitchen using a wood-burning oven as well as a smoker,” manned by chef Luke Loomis. Bodega will serve La Cabra’s brews, plus Pennsylvania wines and ciders.

Beer production will remain at the current location where Popernack’s seven barrel brewhouse allows him to experiment with a wide range of styles and profiles.
