The Citron + Rose team opens their first bakery storefront in Merion.

Here is some sweet news for fans of the creative kosher cuisine over at Merion’s Citron + Rose. Six Points Restaurant Group, owners of Citron + Rose, have expanded their culinary offerings with the opening of their storefront bakery, Six Points Bakery.Photo courtesy of Six Points Bakery.

Executive pastry chef George Fritzsche (Cescaphe Events, STARR Catering) helms the kitchen and is turning out kosher baked goods like scones, brownies, pastries and turnovers. A variety of fresh-baked bagels, challah, muffins, and cookies will also be available.

The flavors range from traditional Jewish to contemporary combinations like double chocolate cranberry pistachio cookies, peach bourbon turnovers, and rosemary olive scones.

Located at 289 Montgomery Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, Six Points Bakery will be open from 7 a.m – 7 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, 7 a.m. – sundown on Fridays, and will also be available for large orders to accommodate meetings and events.

Look for Six Points Restaurant Group’s causal kosher dining outpost, The Dairy, to open in late 2014 in Merion Station.
