John Wolferth Closes the Doors on Aperto in Narberth

But there may be good news right around the corner. PLUS: The second annual Taste of Media features the town’s best.

We’ll start with the bad news: Aperto chef and owner John Wolferth has shut the doors to his wildly popular Narberth BYO which he opened in June 2011. Lease troubles seem to be the culprit and a renewal would have been far too pricey. Wolferth is looking to reopen somewhere else along the Main Line and we hope it happens soon! I know countless people are behind him in supporting his next endeavor.

In other news, you can come out to Wallingford’s Community Arts Center on Sept. 20 for the second annual Taste of Media event. For just $60 per person (all proceeds benefit the Community Arts Center), guests are invited to sample foods from some of Media’s best restaurants. Some of the participants include the 320 Market Cafe, Ariano (a 2012 Best Of winner for pizza), Margaret Kuo’s, Lotus Farm to Table, Diego’s Cantina and many more. The evening will also include live music and an open bar. For tickets, visit communityartscenter.org.
