Tama Matsuoka Wong invites foraging novices to enjoy her recently released book and get in on hyper-local flavor at the Glen Mills nature mecca.

James Beard Award nominee and self-proclaimed weed eater Tama Matsuoka Wong invites foraging novices on a field trip with the help of Glen MillsTerrain at Styer’s. As part of her book launch for Foraged Flavor, the backyard expert will load up interested parties as of 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, to hit the local, wild scene to provide a hands-on education on how to source edible ingredients in nature.

The outdoor field trip will return to the Terrain’s Styer’s Garden Cafe at noon, where Wong will flip the just-sourced ingredients into an invigorating lunch. Garden-to-glass cocktails will also enhance the experience, including green juniper-infused champagne.

A Foraged Flavor book signing will cap off the educational morning and afternoon, at 2:30 p.m.
