The start of baseball season is probably many people’s favorite time of year, especially in Phillies territory. To help baseball fans get excited for the home opener and the start of the season, West Chester Iron Hill Brewery brewer Mike Rutkowski and chef Anthony Young are hosting a week-long Home Opener Hot Dog and Beer Party from Monday April 9-15.
All of the beer and hot dogs served will be in the spirit of the Phillies, of course. Some of the beer selections include Phil’s Pils, Flyin’ Hawaiian Pineapple Saison, Polanco’s Porter and May “Berry” Wheat. Beer will be available on tap until supplies run out, so stopping in on April 9 is the best way to ensure you’ll get to try everything.
If you’re a hot dog lover, you’ll be pretty excited for what chef Young has on the menu. Hot dogs will include the Chili Choooooch Dog with beef and bean chili, cheddar cheese and onions; the Flyin’ Hawaiian Dog with pineapple chutney, bacon, red onions and cilantro aioli; the Harry the K-Dog with sauerkraut, chopped onion and spicy brown mustard, and many, many more. Take a late lunch and head over to Iron Hill for the first pitch or stop by all week to take advantage of the special Phillies menu.
