Following the successful March opening of Bryn Mawr’s *ndulge Cupcake Boutique, owner/baker Donn Selkowitz expands to Manayunk with another tempting location.
Situated at 4373 Main St., Selkowitz officially opened the second of his local shops’ doors on Thursday, May 30, specializing in not only creative cupcakes, but also homemade gelato and specialty baked goods.
Attributing his baking talents to his Jewish Orthodox mother, Selkowitz confidently lives by the motto that he and his staff will customize any sweet creation for patrons from scratch, as long as you give them a 48-hour notice. His ever-changing inventory of signature cupcakes are a vibrant illustration of his creative talents, which range in flavors like root beer float and coffee and doughnuts, to Russian tea cake and peanut butter and jelly.
Comforting classics round out the remainder of *ndulge Cupcake Boutique’s dessert lineup, with Boston cream, pecan pie and blueberry pies seen regularly on the menu. The house specialty of whoopie pie sandwiches packed with gelato will have us hooked all summer long.
