When you’re in need of some fresh home décor and you’re hungry, there’s only one place to go. IKEA in Conshohocken doesn’t disappoint on either front, and in celebration of the summer solstice, the Swedish-born home goods mecca hosts a Midsummer Smorgasbord on June 14.
“Our Swedish roots are an important part of the IKEA story,” said Donna Fitzgerald, IKEA Food Commercial Manager. “Events such as Midsummer allow us to share our Swedish culture and heritage with our guests and to hopefully start a new tradition with our fans.”
In addition to everyone’s favorite meatballs, the spread includes Swedish staples like herring, crayfish, Swedish cheeses, smoked salmon, assorted desserts and more. During the event, kids can complete their own interior design craft project while adults try to win one of the available baskets of Swedish Food Market goodies.
Tickets can be purchased at the Conshohocken location and are available to IKEA Family Members at a rate of $9.99 for adults and $2.49 for children 12 and under. Non-member prices are $12.99 for adult and $4.99 for children 12 and under. Seatings take place from 5-6:30 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m.
