Mica has a bounty of foodie events scheduled for May, including a decadent foie gras tasting and other inspired happenings.

Fans of Mica’s progressive American cuisine have lots to look forward to in the upcoming weeks! Here’s the rundown of the latest goings-on at this Chestnut Hill hotspot, located at 8609 Germantown Ave.

On Wednesday, May 1, and Thursday, May 2, Mica will be hosting a foie gras tasting. The four-course menu includes chilled foie soup, foie gras ravioli, seared foie gras, and foie gras creme caramel. Cost for the tasting is $45, with wine pairings available for an additional $30 and beer pairings for $25.

Mica chef Chip Roman’s friend and mentor chef Georges Perrier will be taking over the restaurant from May 7-11. Reservations are filling up quickly for the Perrier Pop-Up, which will include several of the chef’s signature dishes, such as escargot au champagne, tournadoes de boeuf, and gateau St. Nizier, for a la carte and tasting menus. Items will range from $10 to about $30.

Finally, all are encouraged to head to Mica to welcome their new sommelier, Elyse Lovenworth. Elyse will be guiding guests through the restaurant’s wine list, which is growing to match Mica’s outstanding menu.
