Here’s Your First Look at the New Stove & Tap in Malvern

Share

Stove & Tap Malvern—the newest incarnation from Stove and Co. Restaurant Group partners Justin Weathers and executive chef Joseph Monnich (The Bercy, Al Pastor and the original Stove & Tap Lansdale)—is opening on Dec. 19.

The much anticipated restaurant will open its doors at 4:30 p.m. after it was delayed when a truck drove through its wall earlier this year. “We have been working on Stove and Tap Malvern since 2018 and faced a few big set-backs,” says Weathers. “Now we are ready to rock and we can’t wait to serve our new community and offer a great destination for food, drink and quality service.”

The sprawling 7,500 square-foot restaurant and bar features 188 seats, a 40 foot interior bar, five areas for special events, plus a covered patio and 25 foot exterior bar. Monnich and his culinary team will fire up American classics, upscale comfort food and scratch-made cuisine. For the first time ever, Stove & Tap will feature new menu items utilizing an in-house smoker, wood fired oven and wood fired grill.

Menu highlights include signature brisket, burgers, cedar planked salmon, crispy fried chicken, gooey macaroni and cheese and pot pie. Guests can also expect flatbreads, deviled crab dip, a killer catfish po’boy, smoked beer can chicken, and blackened redfish with hearty soups and seasonal salads.

The bar will pour craft cocktails (be sure to try to the maple old-fashioned and the pear margarita), local and national beer, American wines and boozy shakes. Check out the cheekily named “Tappy Hour,” taking place every day from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It includes special pricing on drinks and munchables including wings, fries, mac and cheese, fried cheese curds and boom boom shrimp.

The ambience, which was created by architect Joe Lombardi and interior designer Boulange Designs (The Bercy), features a rustic Americana interior with taxidermy, rough hewn wood and metals and well-placed lighting fixtures.

Keep an eye out for a similarly-themed location in West Chester sometime next year.
