Glen Mills’ Whole Foods Market is adding another culinary dimension to their natural foods superstore. The Glen Eagle Square-based grocery mecca is the first—and only—Whole Foods location to develop a chef’s table experience, where locals are invited to trek behind-the-scenes for a true farm-to-table feast.
Whole Foods’ chef Glenn May will debut the four-course tastings once a month, with each menu designed to illustrate the market’s core values and practices in supporting the highest quality of natural and organic ingredients.
The first chef’s table is slated for Wed., March 13, 5:30-7:30 p.m., with Glen Mills cooking coach George Smith on the evening’s agenda to present a special course utilizing a Himalayan salt block. Other menu highlights include Firefly Farms’ goat cheese soufflé with roasted red and golden beet salad, crispy beef short ribs with a shallot and leek tarte tatin, and a brûléed banana split with house-made roasted cinnamon, pineapple and vanilla ice cream.
Only eight seats are offered each month at this high-end, “insider” dining experience. Cost is $75 per person, with beverage pairings included. For reservations, email MACCVCheftable@wholefoods.com.
