Glen Mills’ Byrsa Bistro is a Hidden Gem

Here’s why this Mediterranean BYOB should be on your radar.

Tucked away in a mostly untouched bit of Delaware County, Byrsa Bistro offers a charmingly restored circa-1888 mansion setting. Located next to the historic Glen Mills train station and near a roaring bend of Chester Creek where fish are known to bite, it’s equal parts wine bar and on-site fly-fishing shop.

Inside, diners can indulge in traditional paella, fragrant chicken tagine, seafood linguini, cavatelli, and lamb. The enticing menu pairs well with the well-curated wine selection, including Ahmed Chraga’s signature label reds. You can also bring your own bottle. Chraga is such a passionate oenophile, he welcomes it—and with no corkage fee.
