The tropics aren’t so far away thanks to three local Tropical Smoothie Cafes with plenty of “tropitude.” With locations in Paoli, Wayne and West Chester, you don’t have to hop a flight to the Caribbean to experience the fruit-forward flavors or hospitality of the islands.
A fast casual restaurant, Tropical Smoothie Cafe offers way more than just smoothies. The full menu includes everything from breakfast to dinner, like savory sandwiches, sumptuous flatbreads, tasty wraps and warm, melty quesadillas. There’s even a kids’ menu with items like a cheese quesadilla and a ham and cheddar wrap.

Even better? Everything on the menu can be customized so those with dietary restrictions or preferences don’t need to worry. Some current menu favorites include the Chicken Pesto Flatbread, Turkey Bacon Ranch Sandwich and a Buffalo Chicken Wrap.

As its name suggests, smoothies are abundant. Tasty sips include the Sunrise Sunset (strawberries, pineapple, mango and orange juice), the power-packed Island Green (spinach, kale, mango, pineapple and banana), Acai Berry Boost (acai, pomegranate, banana, blueberries and strawberries) and the Bahama Mama (strawberries, pineapple, white chocolate and coconut).

Head to a Tropical Smoothie Cafe on June 14 to celebration National Flip Flop Day. If you wear flip flops to the restaurant that day between 2-7 p.m., you’ll receive a free Sunshine Smoothie. Proceeds from the day benefit Camp Sunshine in Casco, Me., a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. In addition to this, Tropical Smoothie Cafe offers other fundraising opportunities that give back to the community.
