Have you been to Clark Gilbert’s Gemelli on Main yet? I have and can’t wait to go back. Through August, Gilbert’s menu includes two specials using perfectly ripe peaches. A mixture of peach-infused Bourbon with ginger beer and fresh mint makes for a refreshing before or after—oh, what the heck, during, too—dinner drink. If you prefer to eat your peaches, try the warm peach-and-goat-cheese bruschetta with honey-caramelized shallots, baby arugula, candied pecans, and a port wine reduction.
Also at the Manayunk eatery, enjoy $5 cocktails, $5 glasses of wine, and $1 off bottles of beer every day during happy hour (5-7 p.m.). You can even find some happy-hour dining specials.
On Monday nights, Gemelli goes BYO. Bring your favorite bottle, and you won’t even need to pay a corkage fee.
