Have yet to discover the Main Line culinary pocket of Berwyn? Or, are you faithful to the local dining scene and jump at any chance to revisit—especially if for a charitable cause? On Sunday, Sept. 22, from 2-6 p.m., Berwyn’s Daemion Counseling Center and the new 30 Main will join forces to debut the first-ever Taste of Berwyn and Beyond, a community food festival featuring some of Lancaster Avenue’s finest restaurants.
Held to benefit the local counseling center and hosted outdoors at 30 Main (located at Main and Lancaster Avenue), the tasting festival will highlight a collection of area-wide culinary delights, from Alfredo Italian and Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, to Margaret Kuo’s, Jimmy’s BBQ, Clay’s Creative Corner Bakery, and of course, 30 Main. Live entertainment will add to the charitable experience, with the event slated to expand onto Main Avenue (which will be closed 1-7 p.m.).
Taste of Berwyn is free to attend, with food and drinks available for purchase. Parking is available at St. Monica’s Church (635 First Ave.) and Trinity Presbyterian Church (640 Berwyn Ave.). For more details, visit Facebook.com/TasteBerwyn.
