Feastival 2011: Main Line and Philadelphia Restaurants Show Their Culinary Colors

We love a good party like Feastival, where 75-plus of the area’s best restaurants and chefs dish up their specialties to benefit the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival & Philly Fringe.

Sept. 14 is right around the corner and, if you’re looking for something to do from 6 to 9 p.m., I have the event for you. The second annual Feastival, benefiting the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival & Philly Fringe, will take place at Pier 9 on Columbus Boulevard in Philadelphia, bringing together some of the area’s best chefs and restaurants. Guests can enjoy live performances, live painting by Philly’s Mural Arts Program, and a circus show by a nationally touring group.

But let’s talk food. The event is co-hosted by Stephen Starr, chef Michael Solomonov, and Narberth native Audrey Claire Taichman of COOK. Some of the 75 participating restaurants include Barclay Prime, Buddakan, Vetri, Zahav, Mémé, Mica and Talula’s Garden. The Main Line will also have a strong presence, including The Art of Bread by Georges Perrier, Nectar, Eclat Chocolates and Lotus Farm to Table.
