What to Know About the Valley Forge Beer and Cider Fest

Taking place Dec. 14, it will feature over 150 pours.

Get in the holiday spirit at the 9th annual Valley Forge Beer and Cider Fest, taking place Dec. 14 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks. The holiday themed tasting event will feature over 150 different beers and ciders.

More than 50 breweries (including Workhorse Brewing Co., Conshohocken Brewing, Sly Fox and Cape May Brewing), plus select cideries (including Blake’s Hard Cider, Virtue Cider and Ommegang Project Cider) will serve samples of signature and seasonal creations throughout the day.

In addition to the libations, there will be some of the best food trucks from the Philadelphia area on site, too. Expect a variety of food options from purveyors like Have a Ball, Stuff’d Buns and Grilly Cheese.

Adding to the festivities, there will also be an ugly sweater contest, complete with a parade across the stage, holiday-inspired beer, and the jolly man himself.

The festival supports the Committee to Benefit the Children, a local nonprofit that provides resources for treatment, care and family support for area children battling cancer, leukemia and other serious blood disorders.

VIP tickets for the Valley Forge Beer and Cider Fest are $55 in advance and include a line-jumper express ticket processing lane, access to a VIP-only lounge area, a souvenir Belgian-style glass taster and a gated seating area. General admission tickets, which are $45 in advance, include unlimited beer and cider samples and a souvenir tasting cup.
