Leslie Frankel-Avila and her husband, James, recently relocated from Hawaii to historic Chestnut Hill. Having owned a restaurant in Maui, the pair now offers “local style” poke bowls, stone pot bi bim bap, and a slew of Korean, Portuguese and other international dishes at TradeWinds. We sampled the crisp, sweet Korean wings, a colorful ahi shoyu poke bowl, and a Portuguese a spicy seafood stew loaded with clams, mussels, fish, and white beans. The poke bowl was a particularly good match for our robust yet subtle Brancaia Tre 2010.
