Vickers Restaurant in Exton is heating things up for oenophiles with a passionate palate. Join the restaurant on Thursday, October 2, for a muy caliente evening and explore wines from south of the border with sommelier Hudson Austin.
The Passionate Palate South American Wine Dinner will highlight spicy Argentinian Malbecs, crisp Chilean Sauvignons, Torrontes from the foothills of the Andes Mountains and more. Wines will be paired with a delightful four-course meal infused with Latin flavors, set to include:
â— Duo of ceviche & chorizo alla plancha
â— Flash-seared shrimp with garlic, chilis and green rice
â— Gaucho steak with chimichurri, romanesco and patatas bravas
â— Coconut tres leches cake with dulce de leche
Vickers’ recent wine dinners have transformed the Chester County landmark, once a stop on the Underground Railroad, into a wine-drinkers’ destination. In July the restaurant hosted a Vines to Versailles French Wine Dinner, and the August In Vino Veritas Italian Wine Dinner was so popular that tickets sold out quickly. Looking forward, Vickers has a Great Plains: Wild Game & Wines of the West dinner planned for early November.
The Passionate Palate South American Wine Dinner is $65 per person, plus 6 percent tax & 20 percent gratuity. Please call for reservations: (610) 363-7998 (reservations for wine dinners available by phone only).
