There’s no better way to get a jumpstart on the weekend than by heading over to Drexelbrook’s Street Light Beer Garden for happy hour on Sept. 21 and 28, from 5:30-10:30 p.m. With summer coming to an end, you’ll want to take full advantage of Drexel Hill’s only open air beer garden while the days are still warm and long.
Happy hour $5 specials—including wine, cider, locally brewed beer and Drexelbrook’s signature sangria—will be poured until 7 p.m. The tantalizing smells of street food prepared on the open grill will get your stomach rumbling. Choose from black angus sliders, chicken quesadillas and slow-roasted pork Italiano sandwiches.
As the sun sets, you can pick out a spot by one of many firepits to stay toasty and relax to live music from 6:30 to 9 p.m., or play one of the provided games.
Don’t forget to book a babysitter for the night, as these events are 21 and over and date night attire is appropriate. After a long day of work, enjoying a relaxing outdoor evening of good company and sangria under the setting sun is about as perfect as it gets.
