Don’t Miss This: August Pop-Up Dinner with Junto BYOB

The Kennett Square restaurant gets a little help from Philter Coffee.

Two of Chester County’s most innovative food and drink purveyors are joining forces to present an intimate pop-up dinner on Thursday, Aug. 6, at 7 p.m. MacGregor Mann of Junto and Chris Thompson of Philter have created a three-course tasting menu that celebrates the Kennett Square Farmers Market during the height of the summer growing season.

If you’ve been keeping up with our picks for Best of the Main Line, you know that Junto is a critic’s choice for Best Newcomer, and we’ve also raved about Chef Mann’s menu of rustic farmhouse fare with a modern flair.

We’ve named Philter as Best Coffee Shop in both 2014 and 2015. With so many great coffee cafés in the area, you know that Philter must be something special to receive this accolade two years running. Chris Thompson uses beans from Ceremony Coffee Roasters in Annapolis, Md. to create his complex pour-overs, and the food menu focuses on a bounty of fresh, wholesome ingredients for breakfast and lunch.

This one-night-only BYOB event is unfolding at Philter’s rustic café located at 111 State Street in downtown Kennett Square. Tickets are $70 per person and can be reserved by email or by calling (484) 574-8041.
