There is only one business at which you can get puppy kisses, donate to your community and try our Best Brunch on the Main Line winner for 2023. This August, White Dog Cafe locations in Glen Mills, Wayne and Haverford host their sixth annual Dining Out for the Dogs event alongside WMMR’s Preston and Steve.

On-air personalities from WMMR, BEN-FM, WMGK, WXTU and The Fanatic will be at each White Dog location to benefit Alpha Bravo Canine, a charity that provides service dogs to veterans suffering from debilitating medical and psychological problems as a result of their active combat duty.

It’s estimated that 20% of combat veterans suffer from PTSD and/or depression. Every year, around 8,030 veterans commit suicide. Founded to aid veterans in the local community and provide service dogs free of change to those in need, Alpha Bravo Canine looks to change those alarming statistics.

It costs approximately $30,000 to train a puppy depending on the disability, so the $150,000 raised by White Dog Cafe at Dining Out for the Dogs events over the past three years has been of vital assistance.

“We are looking forward to again working with Steve and all the on-air personalities who are giving their time for this fundraiser. We hope the community will come out and dine for this wonderful cause,” says White Dog Cafe owner Marty Grims.

The three select White Dog locations will feature puppy kissing stations, a VIP (very important puppy) table at which guests are guaranteed outdoor seating with their pup, signature shortbread bone-shaped cookies and in-house baked pup-cakes. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the above will be donated directly to Alpha Bravo Canine.

The Glens Mills location will also feature an Instagrammable balloon sculpture from Moments by Max.

For anyone who won’t be able to attend the August 21 Dining Out for the Dogs event in-person at 5 p.m., donations can be made at White Dog Cafe locations by adding any amount at the bottom of a meal check.
