Two Home Cooks Deliver Gourmet Dinners to Main Line Doorsteps

When you don’t feel like cooking, the Main Line’s Meg Byrne and Mimi Null serve up a solution with their meal-delivery business, Dish.

Dish cooks Meg Byrne and Mimi Null. For whatever reason, I never feel like cooking on Thursday night. Maybe the weekend mentality starts to kick in, or I’m ready for a break after three straight nights of meal planning and cooking. Meg Byrne and Mimi Null must have recognized this feeling in other home cooks, because their gourmet meal-delivery business is the perfect solution.

This super-friendly duo launched Dish in January, and it’s garnered rave reviews. Offering a weekly menu of homemade soups, salads (with delicious dressing) and desserts, Byrne and Null make everything fresh, using local produce and herbs from their gardens as much as possible. They even use honey from a local beekeeper friend.

During the summer, Dish offers one soup and an entrée salad, plus two to three desserts like sour-cream-and-lemon pound cake, key-lime pound cake or lemon squares—and I can attest that they are excellent. For the second week of June, Byrne and Null are preparing mussel chorizo soup and a grilled-chicken-and-quinoa salad. On June 16, try the crab gumbo and grilled-beef salad with spicy peanut dressing.
