The United Kingdom’s chief bottled beer, Crabbie’s Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer, is getting its much deserved time in the local Philadelphia limelight come the first day of spring.

However, this crisp, springtime celebration isn’t just about the drinks. Growlers’ chef Jerry Donohue will highlight a ginger beer-soaked menu to complement the night’s special guest. Consider biting into his ginger beer-marinated chicken satay, or nosh on his Brussels sprouts crafted with cherry wood smoked lardons, Vermont cheddar and a ginger and apple cider vinegar. To seal the deal on this boozy Wednesday tasting, be sure to snag your share of the Tropical Ginger Rolls pumped with kiwi, mango and papaya, and accented with a Crabbie’s cherry reduction sauce.
