Sumo and Sushi Experience Rolls Into Philadelphia

Share

Save your money and skip an expensive flight to Japan—LivingSocial is bringing an authentic cultural experience right here to Philadelphia. This April, those interested will have a chance to dine with friends and family over a gourmet sushi and sake tasting while witnessing a live Sumo wrestling match.

Created by everyone’s favorite online marketplace that finds and shares the best things to do in your city, this exclusive “Sumo + Sushi” tour will take place at Helium Comedy Club amidst an eight-city tour.

Clocking in at 800 pounds collectively, Sumo wrestling champs will go head-to-head, working feverishly to get the other to step outside the ring or have a body part (other than the soles of the feet) touch the ground to be crowned the winner. They may also bring some members of the crowd up to demonstrate their own moves in the ring.

Outside the ring, guests will be served a three-course sushi meal and sake as part of the package deal, which is available for just $55. Or, if guests would like premium seating to get closer to the action, they can upgrade their tickets for an additional $6. Tickets to this event are on sale today, March 6, until sold out.

The unique event is unfolding Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, so those interested can choose a preferred date at their time of purchase. Have a peek at the menu below, then don’t forget to snag tickets and more information by visiting livingsocial.com.
