Sang Kee Noodle Bowl Becomes Azie Southeast

The newest enterprise from Win and Sutida Somboonsong will feature Thai, Vietnamese and other southeast Asian cuisines.

Sang Kee Noodle Bowl in Newtown Square may have been short-lived, but owners Win and Sutida Somboonsong have wasted no time replacing their Edgemont Square Shopping Center eatery with a new—and newly renovated— restaurant, Azie Southeast. The couple owns Villanova’s Azie on Main and also a location in downtown Media, but their latest restaurant features dishes from the southeast of Asia, namely, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia. Chef Kazuyuki Mitsui is creating dishes like hot shumai, lemongrass beef and Thai chicken lettuce cups for appetizers, and for entrées, a nice selection of rice and noodle dishes with a number of meat and seafood options cooked in a fragrant sauce from the region of your choosing: General Tso’s sauce from China, an authentic marinade from Vietnam or a choice of curries from Thailand, to name a few.

Azie Southeast is open for lunch Sun.-Fri. and for dinner every night. Heading to the movies after dinner? You can purchase your tickets right from the restaurant!
