The former 401 Diner in Conshohocken will start slinging the notorious cheesesteaks of Pudge’s Steaks & Hoagies as of early next week.This second Pudge’s location from owners Mark Baker and Eric Salfi will serve the same great sandwich menu the original Blue Bell location, and also add an extensive breakfast selection.
Pudge’s has been loyal to packing Conshohocken Bakery rolls since hitting the Philly scene in 1972, and Baker reveals that it’s a no-brainer to become neighbors with their select bread purveyor.
Pudge’s fresh, cooked-to-order, cheesesteaks include classic and inventive steak toppings like mushrooms, bacon, long hots and provolone. Also available is a roster of endless comfort food options like Italian-style roast pork, burgers, build-your-own grilled cheese, wings and so much more. Beyond the monstrous steaks and hoagies (12-inch and 20-inch available), you’ll discover vegetarian fare, heaping salads, house-made soups, and even a kids menu.
Pudge’s Steaks & Hoagies is originally named after its founder, Frank Carbone, who went by the nickname “Pudge.” Carbone remained the owner until 2000, when Baker and Salfi purchased the business in 2011.
Catch the newest Conshohocken shop open seven days a week, 7 a.m.–10 p.m. Breakfast will be served 7 a.m.–11 a.m., with the lunch/dinner menu available until 10 p.m. Delivery and takeout will also be available; view the full menu here.
