Philly Brings Four New Restaurants to the Table


The long-awaited Nomad Pizza has finally opened at 611 S. 7th St. between South and Bainbridge streets. We’ve talked about the pizza before, so we just recommend trying it out for yourself. Russet is the name of the new BYO at 1521 Spruce St. from husband-and-wife team Kristin and Andrew Wood. They opened for service in the former Ernesto’s space on Valentine’s Day, and serve food that’s in the farm-to-table vein with European influences. Andrew was the sous chef at Fork and Kristin was the former pastry chef at James in Bella Vista. Although it just opened, the buzz so far has been nothing but wonderful. Visit russetphilly.com.

A new steak and seafood house is also now open in Old City. Reserve is a restaurant, bar and lounge that serves up steakhouse favorites with a great wine, cocktail and bourbon list to boot. There’s a cigar lounge and live jazz, too. Visit reservephilly.com
