With his new Narberth bakery, The Art of Bread, keeping customers well fed and caffeinated, Georges Perrier is hoping his latest project, Tryst Le Bar, will do the same for city dwellers and suburbanites who venture into Philly. Situated just downstairs from Le Bec-Fin, the self-described “nightlife retreat” is a great place to hang out and get not only great drinks but also fantastic food.
The space has been completely redone, making for an updated and stylish atmosphere. The food, prepared by Chef Nicholas Elmi, is modern French, and guests can expect dishes like truffle-and-foie-gras arancini and jumbo lump crab cocktail with caviar. For drinks, be sure to try one of the signature cocktails, such as the Peach Smash (whiskey, lemon juice, fresh muddled peaches, and mint). Or stick to something more familiar from the extensive wine list. Have you been to Tryst yet? Let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment below.
