Narberth’s Village Treats Launches Waffle Weekends & New Seasonal Desserts

Village Treats expanding its already-addictive dessert repertoire.

Ever since early July, Narberth’s Village Treats has been satisfying sugar addicts with its addictive assortment of mini donuts, ice cream sandwiches stuffed with Bassetts, Green Street Coffee Roasters’ java, and so much more.

Main Line natives, owners and self-proclaimed dessert fanatics Lindsay and Chris Cox are on a mission to constantly unveil new flavor combinations and products within their Haverford Avenue boutique. But, it wasn’t until this weekend that they expanded into the doughy pursuits of made-from-scratch Belgian waffles. Saturdays and Sundays are now officially all about the waffle in their all-things-fresh hub, available laced with accessories like Pennsylvania honey, Nutella or scoops of pumpkin ice cream. Weekly waffle specials will range from varieties like fluffernutter and smoky prosciutto, to topping combinations like The Schoolhouse (layered with peanut butter, organic grape jelly and chopped salted peanuts).

Also debuting this October is the Coxes extension into made-to-order cakes and cupcakes to go, with available flavors including chocolate buttermilk, vanilla buttercream, pumpkin spice and carrot.
