Maine’s Beer Scene Hijacks Nectar Restaurant for a Not-to-Miss Beer Dinner

Chef Patrick Feury and his beer-loving brigade at Berwyn’s Nectar are throwing New England’s craft brew scene in the spotlight for a one-night-only affair.

Chef Patrick Feury and his beer-loving brigade at Berwyn’s Nectar are prepping to throw New England’s respectable brew scene in the spotlight for the upcoming Maine Beer Dinner, slated to unfold Wednesday, Dec. 4.

The night’s Maine beer education will span north, first to Portland with Allagash Brewing Co., onward to Freeport with Maine Beer Co., continuing to Newcastle with Oxbow Brewing Co.; and concluding in Bar Harbor, with Atlantic Brewing Co.

The New England event will be served a la carte, with eight innovative food and beer pairings up for grabs. Must-try couplings of the night include:
â— Wiley Point Oysters with elderflower mignonette paired with Oxbow’s Farmhouse Ale
â— Cured, braised pork belly with black truffle farro and roasted figs, married with Allagash’s Curieux
â— Maine lobster chowder and mini lobster rolls with Maine Beer Co.’s Peeper
â— Petite pancakes with blueberry ice cream, accompanied by Atlantic Brewing Co.’s Ellen’s Sombrero Coffee Milk Stout
