Juice Up Your Diet: Pangaea Earth Foods Brings Organic Juices to the Main Line

Narberth’s Art of Bread by Georges Perrier now offers cold-pressed juices to counteract that guilty French-pastry pleasure. Special deliveries are available, too.

The hot weather has many of us shunning our stoves and craving something cold, refreshing and, most of all, healthy. I’ve always been a fan of juicing, not only for its health benefits but also for the convenience of tossing a few seasonal fruits and/or veggies into a blender or juicer.

I was excited to see a new collection of cold-pressed juices for sale at Narberth’s Art of Bread by Georges Perrier. Sisters Erika and Jennifer Ianoale are the masterminds behind Pangaea Earth Foods, their year-old organic juice line that first became popular at Philadelphia’s Rescue Rittenhouse Spa. Packed with vitamins, minerals and beneficial enzymes, the juices are raw, organic and vegan. And they’re as beautiful to look at as they are delicious to drink, thanks to the vibrant colors of seasonal produce.

For July, Pangaea features six juices, including:

Pear Love, made with pear, apple, cucumber, fennel, lime and mint. This juice reduces fat, while treating both anxiety and heartburn.
Glow, made with cantaloupe, apple, cucumber, parsley, lime and ginger. This juice boosts energy and helps build a strong immune system.
Watermelon Smoothie, made with watermelon, mint and ginger. This juice eases inflammation and helps reduce blood pressure.

The 12-ounce bottles are available at the Art of Bread every Tuesday-Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. But Pangaea will also deliver directly to your doorstep. Visit pangaeaearthfoods.com for more info. Your body will thank you!
