When I dine out, I prefer small tastes of everything over one big plate of food. That way, I get a better feel for the restaurant and the chef’s cooking style. So, Isabella’s dining deal is right up my alley. This Mediterranean eatery in Conshohocken recently introduced an incredibly affordable menu—$27 for eight courses—available for dinner Sunday to Wednesday. Chef Michael Cappon has chosen Isabella’s most popular tapas, including fresh mozzarella with lavender honey and macron almonds, chili-dusted pork belly with sweet-pea puree and pickled onions, the restaurant’s famous mussels in a roasted-tomato jus with a potato-and-arugula salad, plus house-made spinach gnocchi with homemade ricotta, brown butter, nutmeg and Parmigiano-Reggiano.
My mouth is watering!
