Fourteen local pastry chefs will come together on March 29 for a wonderful cause: the Chester County Community Foundation, which helps families and businesses become involved in charitable endeavors. Called “Sweet Charity,” the event is sure to be as delicious as it is good for the soul.
Desserts will be the main attraction, but there will also be a gourmet buffet. Some of last year’s highlights included a chocolate macadamia nut tart with sea salt caramel ice cream from West Chester’s New Street Catering and triple-chocolate fried brownies with cinnamon vanilla ice cream from Exton’s Brickside Grille. Guests can expect the same level of decadence at this year’s event, as they mingle throughout the greenhouses of Waterloo Gardens in Exton with pastry chefs from Carlino’s, The Master’s Baker, Newton’s on State Street and others.
