Funky Lil’ Kitchen Hits the Road

The chef behind the Pottstown eatery hopes to trade tables and chairs for four wheels as a locally focused food truck.

Locals who love chef Michael Falcone’s whimsical dishes at his spunky 28-seater will not have to make the trek to Montgomery County much longer. Falcone has put his Pottstown-based Funky Lil’ Kitchen on the market. He plans on selling his bricks and mortar and hitting the open road in a food truck.

The truck, to be identified under the moniker Heart, will echo his locally focused, sustainable approach that’s seen nightly at his unconventional suburban BYO. With the intent to trek to neighborhoods closer to the city, and the city itself, street food fanatics can expect his handheld bites to feature his nearby purveyor, Birchrun Hills Farm, as well as interesting finishes (Sriracha buttermilk dressing, anyone?).

Funky Lil’ Kitchen will remain open until the business is sold. The business is for sale with real estate for $289,900 or with the lease of building for $125,000 and $1,700 a month.
