Wayne has seen a lot of action in the past few months when it comes to restaurant openings, and that includes Ella’s American Bistro in Devon Square. The concept is casual bistro fare, with the majority of ingredients coming from local farms that emphasize sustainable, organic, naturally raised growing methods. Executive chef Matt Schuler (of Lancaster County) executes a lunch and dinner menu (brunch coming soon) that sounds comforting, fresh and approachable. Think heirloom bean chili, grilled pizza, sirloin burgers, buttermilk fried chicken, barbecue pork chops, and pasta. Dinner entrées run $12-$28, with nightly specials. The dining room seats 100 and looks cozy but upscale, with wood-paneled walls, white tablecloths and a large sycamore bar.
